Nice Poops

Setting: Max poops on the potty.
Max: "Dad, are they nice poops?"
Dad: "Yes Max they are nice poops."
Max: "Yeah, they are not mad, sad, or angry."
Setting 2: Dad loses composure.
Max (laughing): "or silly!!"

The Power of Cookies

Dad: "Emma, give me your sandwich if your tummy hurts, you can finish it later."
Setting 2: About 3 minutes later
Emma: "Dad, my tummy hurts."
Dad: "I know dear, I don't know what I can do for you right now. Let's see how you feel in a few minutes."
Emma: "A chocolate chip cookie would make my tummy feel better."

Cheeps

Previously: As is her way, Grandma V. made a special treat for Max and Emma's visit to her house. This week, it was orange jello with whipped cream -- and a marshmallow Peep on top. Of course, Grandma V sends extras home in individual containers for the kids.

Setting: Our house after Saturday dinner. Dad serves up those servings of the remaining orange jello and cream for dessert.
Max: "Look, Jello from Grandma V."
Max: "But, where's the Cheep?"

King Tut in America

Setting: Mom, Max, and Emma are reading through an old issue of National Geographic with a King Tut cover story.
Max: "Mom, who's that?"
Mom: "That's King Tut"
Max: "Right, he's from Egypt where there are pyramids and camels."
Mom in stunned silence turns the page to the King Tut story -- with many differnt pictures of the King.
Max: "Mom, what are all of those?"
Mom: "They are different statues of King Tut."
Max: "Wow, look at all those King-Tuckies. (i.e., like Kentucky)"
