Setting: Over the last few weeks, we've been placing our hand over our heart rather than folding our hands when we pray. It reminds us that God is in our heart. So tonight, shortly after bedtime prayer:
Emma: "Mom, how can God be in our heart? He's so big."
Mom: "Well, God sent us His Spirit. It's the Holy Spirit who lives in our hearts."
Emma (after a pause to think): "Does he fill our heart?"
Mom: "Yes."
Emma: "Our whole heart?"
Mom: "Yes."
Emma: "Well, then how can it pump?"
